Withdrawal Policy

International Prime Publications Inc. recognizes that authors may, in certain circumstances, need to withdraw a manuscript after submission. At the same time, manuscript handling involves editorial assessment, peer review, communication with authors, administrative processing, and, where applicable, production activities. These activities require time and resources from the publisher and editorial team.

Accordingly, authors are requested to consider their decision carefully before submitting a manuscript. Once a manuscript has entered the editorial process, withdrawal is subject to the terms of this policy.

1. Withdrawal Within 48 Hours

An author may request withdrawal of a submitted manuscript within 48 hours of the original submission without a withdrawal charge.

The withdrawal request should be submitted by the corresponding author through the appropriate communication channel and should clearly identify the manuscript, including its title and manuscript/reference number where available.

The 48-hour period is intended to provide authors with a reasonable opportunity to correct an inadvertent submission, identify an administrative error, or reconsider a submission before substantial editorial resources are committed.

A withdrawal request submitted within this period will normally be processed without a withdrawal charge, provided that the manuscript has not already progressed to a stage where exceptional circumstances apply.

2. Withdrawal After 48 Hours

After the 48-hour period has expired, an author may still request withdrawal; however, withdrawal is no longer an automatic or unconditional right.

By this stage, the manuscript may have undergone editorial screening, reviewer assignment, peer-review activities, editorial correspondence, technical checks, or other administrative processing. The publisher may therefore assess the request in light of the stage reached by the manuscript and the work already undertaken.

Where appropriate, a withdrawal/administrative charge may be applicable to compensate for processing and editorial resources already committed to the manuscript. The applicable charge, if any, will be communicated to the corresponding author before the withdrawal is finalized.

Payment of an applicable withdrawal charge does not constitute a publication fee and does not guarantee publication.

3. Withdrawal After Acceptance

Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, withdrawal should only be requested for a genuine and compelling reason.

Acceptance indicates that the manuscript has completed the applicable editorial decision process and that substantial resources may already have been invested in its preparation for publication.

Requests for withdrawal after acceptance will therefore be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Where the publisher has already incurred editorial, administrative, production, or other publication-related costs, the author may be responsible for such costs before the withdrawal can be completed.

A decision by an author to publish the manuscript elsewhere, a change of preference regarding the journal, or a change of mind after acceptance does not, by itself, constitute grounds for automatic withdrawal without applicable charges.

4. Withdrawal During Production

After a manuscript has entered the production stage, withdrawal becomes subject to further restrictions because production-related activities may already have been completed or initiated.

Authors requesting withdrawal at this stage must provide a clear explanation for the request. The publisher will determine whether the withdrawal can be accommodated and whether any applicable production or administrative costs must be settled.

5. Withdrawal After Publication

A published article cannot ordinarily be withdrawn simply because an author subsequently changes their mind.

Once an article has been formally published, it becomes part of the scholarly record. Any request concerning a published article will therefore be handled in accordance with the publisher's applicable procedures for corrections, retractions, or other post-publication actions, as appropriate to the circumstances.

Withdrawal of a published article at the author's request does not create an automatic entitlement to a refund of publication or other applicable charges.

6. Reasons for Withdrawal

Authors are encouraged to provide a genuine and specific reason when requesting withdrawal after the 48-hour period.

Examples of circumstances that may be considered include significant errors identified in the manuscript, issues concerning authorship or author consent, ethical concerns, or other circumstances that materially affect the submission.

Reasons such as a change of mind, preference for another journal, failure to coordinate with co-authors before submission, or a decision to pursue publication elsewhere may be considered insufficient to justify withdrawal without applicable costs.

7. Authorship and Authorization

Withdrawal requests should normally be submitted by the corresponding author. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors are aware of and, where appropriate, agree with the withdrawal request.

Where a withdrawal request raises questions concerning authorship, authorization, competing instructions from co-authors, or other disputes, International Prime Publications Inc. may temporarily suspend processing until the matter has been appropriately clarified.

8. Simultaneous or Duplicate Submission

Authors are expected to comply with accepted standards of publication ethics and should not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals.

If a manuscript is found to have been submitted elsewhere while it is under consideration by International Prime Publications Inc., the publisher may take appropriate editorial or ethical action, including closure of the submission, in accordance with its applicable policies.

9. Withdrawal Does Not Automatically Mean Refund

Approval of a manuscript withdrawal and eligibility for a refund are separate matters.

The acceptance of a withdrawal request does not, by itself, establish an author's entitlement to a refund. Any refund request will be considered separately under the publisher's Refund Policy, taking into account the manuscript's stage, payments received, services already provided, and the circumstances leading to the request.

10. Publisher's Right to Review Withdrawal Requests

International Prime Publications Inc. reserves the right to review withdrawal requests individually and to determine the appropriate action based on the manuscript's status, the circumstances of the request, and the editorial or publication work already undertaken.

The publisher may decline or defer a withdrawal request where necessary to protect the integrity of the editorial process, the scholarly record, or the interests of all authors and other parties involved.

Authors are encouraged to contact the editorial office promptly if they believe withdrawal is necessary. Early communication allows the publisher to address legitimate concerns efficiently and may prevent unnecessary costs or delays.
