Instructions for Authors
World Journal of Law, Governance and Public Policy invites high-quality manuscripts that contribute to research in legal studies, governance systems, and public policy analysis. Authors should carefully follow the guidelines below to facilitate the review and publication process.
Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word format through the journal’s online submission system. A cover letter must accompany each submission, providing the corresponding author's contact information.
Submissions should represent original research that has not been previously published and is not currently under review elsewhere. The corresponding author must confirm that all co-authors approve the final manuscript before submission.
Authors should ensure that manuscripts are formatted according to the journal’s guidelines, and revisions may be requested during the editorial review process.
Article Types
The journal accepts several categories of articles:
Research Articles
Original studies presenting theoretical, empirical, or comparative legal and policy research.
Review Articles
Comprehensive analyses of existing scholarship that evaluate developments in legal studies or governance research.
Methodological Papers
Research discussing new analytical frameworks, policy research methods, or interdisciplinary approaches.
Case Studies
Detailed analyses of legal decisions, governance reforms, or public policy implementations.
Manuscript Structure
- Title Page
Title of the manuscript, author names, institutional affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author. - Abstract
A structured summary (150-250 words) outlining research objectives, methodology, key findings, and significance. - Keywords
Five to ten keywords relevant to the manuscript topic. - Introduction
Background context, research problem, and objectives of the study. - Methodology
Description of analytical methods, data sources, and research frameworks. - Findings and Discussion
Presentation and interpretation of research findings. - Conclusion
Summary of key insights and implications for law, governance, and policy research. - References
All cited sources are formatted according to APA citation style.
Review Process
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Reviewers evaluate submissions based on originality, methodological rigour, relevance to the journal’s scope, and scholarly contribution. Authors generally receive initial editorial feedback within four weeks.
Copyright and Open Access
Upon acceptance, authors transfer copyright to the journal. Articles are published under an open-access model to maximize global accessibility.
Publication Fees
A processing fee of $1019 USD applies to accepted manuscripts. Authors facing financial constraints may request a partial fee waiver.
