Instructions for Authors

COVID-19, Emerging Infectious Diseases, and Global Health welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to research in infectious diseases, epidemiology, and global health systems. Authors should carefully follow the guidelines below to facilitate the review and publication process.

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word format through the journal’s submission system. A cover letter should accompany each submission and include the corresponding author's contact details.

Submissions must represent original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal. The corresponding author must confirm that all co-authors approve the final manuscript before submission.

Authors should ensure that manuscripts follow the formatting standards of the journal, and revisions may be requested during the editorial review process.

Article Types

The journal publishes several categories of articles:

Research Articles
Original studies presenting clinical, epidemiological, or public health research findings.

Review Articles
Comprehensive analyses of existing literature discussing developments in infectious diseases and global health.

Methodological Papers
Research introducing new epidemiological methods, surveillance techniques, or public health research frameworks.

Case Studies
Studies examining specific disease outbreaks, clinical cases, or public health interventions.

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page
    Title of the manuscript, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author contact details.
  2. Abstract
    A structured summary (150-250 words) describing research objectives, methodology, key findings, and significance.
  3. Keywords
    Five to ten relevant keywords representing the focus of the study.
  4. Introduction
    Background context, research problem, and objectives of the study.
  5. Methodology
    Description of clinical methods, epidemiological analysis, or research procedures used in the study.
  6. Results and Discussion
    Presentation and interpretation of research findings.
  7. Conclusion
    Summary of major insights and implications for global health research.
  8. References
    All cited works formatted according to APA citation style.

Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Reviewers evaluate submissions based on originality, methodological rigour, scientific quality, and relevance to the journal scope. Authors typically receive initial editorial feedback within four weeks.

Copyright and Open Access

Upon acceptance, authors transfer copyright to the journal. Articles are published under an open-access model to ensure global accessibility.

Publication Fees

A processing fee of $1019 applies to accepted manuscripts. Authors facing financial constraints may request a partial waiver.
