Biography

DR. PYAR SINGH is a renowned and outstanding academician, a researcher, an administrator, a communicator, a environmentalist, a journalist, a professor, an author, a poet, a researcher, research reviewer, defence veteran, and editor of research journals with more than twenty years in print, radio, TV, digital media, working as Head of School of Media & Mass Communication at APG Shimla University, also remained visiting faculty of many universities and taught the students of journalism students in Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. He worked across diverse ranges of research work, news making, program scripting in both print media and electronic media, TV & All India Radio, magazines, leading newspapers, his passion for research studies, communication research, social science studies and teaching students of journalism and mass communication and research scholars, and working as NSS Program Officer, Sports Officer, and led NCC (Army Wing). He has produced countless articles and research papers, and books on journalism, and also scripted books of distance & open learning books on the course of journalism & mass communication of MAJMC in Himachal Pradesh University. Dr. Pyar Singh has attained certificates on modern masterpieces of world literature imparted by prestigious Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts of USA. Beyond these, he enjoys teaching, research, and travelling for new research issues/problems of contemporary world in different areas, which have shaped his compassionate worldview. Not only has it, Dr. Pyar Singh earned name and fame at national & international level in the field of research work, as he is awarded with ?Shaan-e-Himachal State Award,? ?National Faculty Award,? and ?International Research Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award, 2025? awarded by Scopus Index Conclave, 2025, American Chamber of Research, United Medical Council, Times of Research, and Chronicles Time for Excellence research in Social Science/Media Studies in Elsevier Scopus, national & international research journals. Dr. Pyar Singh has membership of many national and international research journals, including Scopus journals and subsumed in editorial boards of research journals. Dr. Singh is also editor of the ?Journal of Interdisciplinary History and Human Societies?. Dr. Singh participated in many youth related programs being run Central Government of India and motivated the youths to participate in such programs. Dr. Singh is felicitated with certificates of participation and appreciation on behalf of Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Affairs and Sports to engage the youths in sports and nation building programs of Govt. of India. The ?International Research Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award has been presented by Honourable Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi of Tamil Nadu, India, on 3rd August 2025 during the Asia International Research Awards. Dr. Singh presented himself through his research work in UNO?s organizations WHO (World Health Organization) & UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) for his cardinal knowledge on contemporary issues of the cosmos.
