Biography

A seasoned professional, business management expert, sustainability leader, senior government adviser, and scholar with strong international networks and hands-on experience in academia, investment banking, public sector investment management, sustainability initiatives, stockbroking, consulting, training, business administration, research, and entrepreneurial development. Dr Timi Olubiyi, as he is affectionately known, is a seasoned professional and a scholar of high repute with a good teaching and research track record of good published work of international quality. He has held key management roles in top stockbroking and financial institutions in Nigeria. A well-known investment banker and Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) registered capital market operator, author, researcher, and researcher with a proven track record of international experience in publication and academics. A Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) England and Member of the Institute of Directors(M.IoD) UK with a B.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. Degrees in Business Administration from Babcock University, Nigeria. He has relevant expertise in the Nigerian financial industry, including public service, and he has served as a policy adviser and technical expert to many government representatives and senate committees, providing a body of research and policy interests in industry and trade organizations. Senior Lecturer at West Midlands Open University, Nigeria and Dean School of Management and Social Sciences. An adjunct lecturer at the Department of Business Administration and Marketing at Babcock University, Nigeria, an affiliate of Babcock Centre for Executive Development Ogun State, Nigeria, and facilitator and project supervisor at the Department of Business Administration, the National Open University of Nigeria. Dr. Timi Olubiyi has supervised the academic theses of many Postgraduate Degree (PhD, M.Sc., MBA) graduates, including B.Sc. graduates. He has extensive publishing and editorial expertise, as well as the ability to teach business and research methodology subjects. He has presented at many international conferences, published several papers and opinions in high-impact academic journals and several renowned newspapers worldwide in his diverse area of research interests, which cover small business management and development, entrepreneurship, innovation, knowledge management, enterprise continuity, succession, strategy, sustainability, and leadership. Dr Timi Olubiyi, is widely published, and the significance of his research is emphasized by the publishing of more than a hundred (100) academic articles in prestigious and reputable national and international journals, several of which are indexed in Scopus, UGC CARE, EBSCO, and Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). He has been invited as session chair, resource person, keynote speaker, and session chair at various conferences across Nigeria and beyond. He is also an editor in Chief of a reputable journal, a peer reviewer and member of the editorial board of many university-based and well-indexed high-impact journals globally. He is a prominent figure in his field and has attended various academic and executive management programmes and training around the globe. Because of his scholarly contributions, Dr. Timi Olubiyi is listed among the World Top 100 Scientists for 2025 by the AD Scientific Index, with a focus on business and management, particularly in areas like SME development and business continuity. In addition to this, he has received many academic honors and awards/recognitions across the world.
