About the Journal

Journal of Animal Health, Veterinary Practice and Zoonotic Research is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in veterinary medicine, animal health, and the study of zoonotic diseases. It serves as a platform for veterinarians, researchers, epidemiologists, animal scientists, and public health professionals to share research and clinical findings that support both animal well-being and the protection of human health.

The journal covers a wide range of topics within veterinary science, including disease diagnosis and management, clinical and surgical techniques, preventive care, and animal welfare. It also places a strong emphasis on the study of zoonoses, diseases that can be transmitted between animals and humans, highlighting their relevance to both veterinary and public health communities.

Research areas include livestock and poultry health, small animal practice, wildlife and exotic animal care, veterinary pharmacology, reproductive health, parasitology, virology, bacteriology, and food safety. Studies involving antimicrobial resistance, emerging infections, and the interface between domestic animals, wildlife, and human populations are especially encouraged.

The journal supports interdisciplinary work that connects veterinary science with environmental health, epidemiology, and disease ecology. Submissions may include field-based studies, experimental research, laboratory investigations, or case-based observations that contribute to a better understanding of animal diseases and their potential impact on broader ecosystems.

Technological advancements in diagnostics, surveillance systems, vaccines, and treatment protocols are also of interest. The journal welcomes work that evaluates the effectiveness of health interventions, animal husbandry practices, biosecurity measures, and regulatory approaches related to animal and zoonotic health.

Journal of Animal Health, Veterinary Practice and Zoonotic Research values contributions that reflect practical experience in clinical settings as well as those that offer novel theoretical or research-based insights. It provides an inclusive space for studies that focus on domestic animals, production animals, and wildlife species, recognizing the interconnected nature of animal and human health.

Through its open-access model, the journal ensures that veterinary knowledge is freely available to practitioners, researchers, students, and policymakers around the world. It supports the One Health approach, recognizing that the health of animals, humans, and the environment are closely linked.

Whether your work investigates the control of infectious disease outbreaks, explores treatment outcomes in companion animals, or evaluates zoonotic risks in food production systems, this journal offers a dedicated space to share your findings with a multidisciplinary and engaged audience.
