Instructions for Authors

Journal of Animal Health, Veterinary Practice and Zoonotic Research invites submissions of original research articles, clinical studies, review papers, case reports, and brief communications. Authors are advised to follow the guidelines below when preparing their manuscripts.

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format through the journal’s online submission system.
  • A cover letter should be included with the submission, providing the corresponding author's contact details and a short explanation of the study’s relevance.
  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review by another journal.
  • All authors listed must have approved the final version of the manuscript.
  • Articles must follow the journal’s formatting style. Authors may be asked to revise for clarity or completeness.

Article Types

  • Research Articles: Full-length studies presenting new data in clinical medicine, epidemiology, infectious disease, or related veterinary fields.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive summaries of literature related to animal health, treatment protocols, or zoonotic disease trends.
  • Case Reports: Detailed clinical descriptions of notable or rare conditions, with diagnostic and treatment details.
  • Short Communications: Concise updates on emerging infections, field observations, or technical developments in veterinary practice.

Manuscript Structure

  • Title Page: Include the article title, full names of authors, institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author's email address.
  • Abstract: A summary (150-250 words) covering the research aim, methodology, main results, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: Provide 5-10 terms relevant to the study’s topic.
  • Introduction: Define the problem or clinical context, background, and objectives.
  • Materials and Methods: Describe study design, animals involved, diagnostic tools, treatments, and data analysis methods.
  • Results: Present findings clearly with appropriate tables, charts, or images.
  • Discussion: Interpret findings, highlight implications for veterinary practice or zoonotic disease control, and acknowledge any limitations.
  • Conclusion: Summarise the main points and suggest future steps or applications.
  • References: All citations must follow APA style, and authors are responsible for accuracy and consistency.

Review Process

All manuscripts are reviewed under a double-blind peer-review system. Authors typically receive feedback within four weeks of submission.

Copyright and Open Access

Upon acceptance, authors transfer copyright to the journal. Articles are published open access and are freely available for use and citation.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

A fee of $1019 applies to accepted papers. Authors may contact the editorial office to request a partial fee reduction if needed.
