Biography of Gregorio Rangel Gregorio Rangel is one civil servant of National Health Laboratory, Ministry of Health, Timor-Leste. He was completed his post graduate diploma in applied parasitology and entomology at institute for medical research (IMR), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2014. He was concluded his master degree in Biomedical Science in Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand in 2018. In government institutions, He was work with National Malaria Program, Ministry of Health from 2009-2013 and National Health Laboratory from 2013-2021. In partnership development, He has been worked as national consultant for World Health Organization Timor-Leste from November ? December 2020 with project ?Infection Prevention and Control?. He has also been worked as national consultant for World Health Organization Timor-Leste from September 2021-July 2022, project entitled ?Essential Health Services during COVID-19 period?. He has been also worked as national assessor for National Agency for Academic Assessment and Accreditation (NAAAA) from July-September 2022. He is a young scientist in medical laboratory. He has contributed various research and publication in biomedical science. Currently, he is working as head of department (equivalent national director) of exacts and natural science, National Institute for science and technology, Timor-Leste. He also a full-time lecturer at department of Biomedical Laboratory Science, Dili Health Science Institute, Timor-Leste. Meanwhile, he is working as principal investigator in a collaborative study between Menzies School of Health Research in Timor-Leste, Ministry of Health and Dili Health Science Institute with project entitled? DR. ALAIN L. FYMAT is a medical-physical scientist and an educator. He is the current President/ CEO and Institute Professor at the International Institute of Medicine & Science with a previous appointment as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Professor at the Weil Institute of Critical Care Medicine, California, U.S.A. He was formerly Professor of Radiology, Radiological Sciences, Radiation Oncology, Critical Care Medicine, and Physics at several U.S. and European Universities. Earlier, he was Deputy Director (Western Region) of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (Office of Research Oversight). At the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Medical Center, he was Scientific Director of Radiology, Director of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center and, for a time, Acting Chair of Radiology. Previously, he was Director of the Division of Biomedical and Biobehavioral Research at the University of California at Los Angeles/Drew University of Medicine and Science. He was also Scientific Advisor to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, National Research Council, for its postdoctoral programs tenable at the California Institute of Technology and Member of the Advisory Group for Research & Development, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He is Health Advisor to the American Heart & Stroke Association, Coachella Valley Division, California. He is a frequent Keynote Speaker and Organizing Committee member at several international scientific/medical conferences. He has lectured extensively in the U.S.A, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He has published in excess of 500 scholarly scientific publications and books. He is also Editor-in-Chief, Honorable Editor or Editor of numerous medical/scientific Journals to which he regularly contributes. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and the European Union Academy of Sciences, a Board member of several institutions, and a reviewer for the prestigious UNESCO Newton Prize, United Kingdom National Commission for UNESCO.
Research Intrest:
Dr. Fymat's current research interests are focused on neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, dementias, epilepsy, and others), oncology (glioblastoma), epigenetics & ecogenetics, and nanomedicine & nanobiotechnology. Mauro Zarrelli, born in 1974, he received his Master degree cum Laude in Material Engineering at University of Naples in 1998 and his PhD degree in Advanced Materials at Cranfield University in 2004. He was assistant Research at School of industrial and Manufacturing Science at Cranfield University from 1998 to 2002 working on thermo-chemo characterization of novel polymer composite matrix for aerospace application (Cranfield University - EPSRC funded project) and he received an AUDI Foundation grant (2001) as young researcher for the development of new holder jig to measure mechanical modulus during the polymerization reaction of modified thermosetting matrix system. He has extensively worked on cure induced stress deformation during the manufacturing of composites and physical-chemical changes due to the polymerization of thermosetting resin. From 2002 to 2004 as Responsible for the Thermal Analysis and Mechanical activities of Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA) in Italy, he was involved in several EU and national projects within the area of composites characterization and design. He is currently Permanent Researcher at the Institute of Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB) at National Research Council (CNR) of Italy. He is currently contract professor for the University of Campania at the Dept. of Industrial and Information Engineering holding the course of “Experimental technique for Aerospace Structures” for the Aerospace Engineering faculty since 2015. His main research interests include: development of advanced composites, mechanical characterization of material and structures, nano-reinforcement of thermosetting resin for composites application, cure dependent property, cure induced stresses in composite, viscoelasticity, and (as Responsible for an on going national project) resistance to fire of micro and nanoloaded thermosets. His has published more than 80 scientific peer-reviewed papers in international journal, more than 80 contributions to international and national conferences and 6 book contributions.
