Nanomedicine and Nanoscience Technology: Open Access

Nanoparticles

Nanoparticles are defined as structural dimension of less than 100nm, making them comparable in size to subcellular structures, including cell organelles or biological macromolecules, etc. Nanoparticles are also called as ultrafine particles. These are being used in the production of scratchproof eyeglasses, crack-resistant paints, anti-graffiti coatings for walls, transparent sunscreens, stain-repellent fabrics, self-cleaning windows and ceramic coatings for solar cells.There are numerous methods in creating nanoparticles, including gas condensation, attrition, chemical precipitation ion implantation, pyrolysis and hydrothermal synthesis. Applications of Nanoparticles are: agriculture, automotive, construction, cosmetics, electronics, environment, food, home appliances, medicine, petroleum, printing, renewable energies, sports and fitness, textile. Scientific research on nanoparticles is penetrating as they have many possible applications in medicine, physics, and electronics.
