Cardiovascular Gene Therapy
Current targets for cardiovascular gene therapy include therapeutic angiogenesis in ischaemic myocardium and limb muscles, prevention of postangioplasty and in-stent restenosis and of bypassgraft failure, maintenance of the patency of vascular prosthesis and anastomoses, and prevention of thrombus formation.
