Drug Clinical Trials are the primary way that researchers find out if a new treatment, like a new drug is safe and effective in people. Every drug and procedure that is used in cancer treatment was once studied as a part of a drug clinical trial. Drug clinical trials generate data on dosage, safety and efficacy. They are conducted only after they have received health authority/ethics committee approval in the country where approval of the therapy is sought.
