Biography
Dr. Hara Madhav Talasila is a full-stack engineer and researcher with over 11 years of experience in radar systems, specializing in remote sensing of the cryosphere. Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas, his expertise spans the entire project lifecycle, from low-level hardware development and airborne polar field deployments to creating calibration algorithms and publishing final data products. As a key member of the Center for Remote Sensing and Integrated Systems (CReSIS) and a Radar Hardware Lead for NASA's Operation IceBridge, Dr. Talasila has made significant contributions to the field, including developing novel calibration solutions, creating a 3D radar simulator, signal and data processing to deliver vital radar data to the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC).Research Interest
