Biography

Dr. Ramin Zibaseresht is Associate Professor in Chemistry at Maritime University of Imam Khomeini in Noshahr, Iran and Adjunct Associate Professor at Aja University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Shiraz University, his M.Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry from Pune University, and his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Canterbury. He is currently the Head of Biomaterials and Medicinal Chemistry Research Centre in Tehran. He has published more than 60 papers in peer reviewed journals and reputed conferences, 10 scientific books, and 5 patents. He has been awarded more than 10 national and international awards toward his researches. He has been teaching Chemistry and Materials Sciences, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry to undergraduate students, and Advanced Organic Chemistry, Advanced Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Synthesis, and Medicinal Chemistry to postgraduate and Pharmacy students in some universities in Iran. He is actively part of more than 10 peer reviewed journals as associate editor-in-chief, reviewer and editorial board member. He is also member of more than 10 scientific international and national associations. His research interests include Inorganic Chemistry, Inorganic Synthesis, Organic Synthesis, Single X-ray Crystallography, Biomaterials, Medicinal Chemistry, NMR Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry and Natural Products.

Inorganic Chemistry (Coordination Chemistry of Transition metal complexes), Inorganic Synthesis (mainly N heterocyclic ligand design), C-C coupling reactions, Organic Synthesis, Single X-ray Crystallography, Biomaterials, Medicinal Chemistry, NMR Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry and Natural Products.
