Parathyroid Diseases
Parathyroid Diseases is a major disease of parathyroid glands. Several factors are associated with the function parathyroid gland. Parathyroid diseases are hyperparathyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism.
Parathyroid lobes, which make too much of parathyroid hormone causes a potentially serious calcium imbalance. This condition is called as hyperparathyroidism; it also leads to hypercalcemia, kidney stones, osteoporosis, and many other symptoms. Surgery is recommended for all patients that are diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism with or without symptoms, especially in younger patients. Parathyroid auto transplantation is a part of treatment when patient has hyperparathyroidism and three or four parathyroid glands were already removed, but during the surgery one of the glands (in the case of the removal of three) is relocated at another part of the body to make, the procedure less risky another procedure.
